Ayahuasca Planta

What food should you consume for an adequate Ayahuasca diet?

Our bodies are infected with toxins that we have been accumulating day by day; making a proper diet for at least 2 weeks will allow mother Ayahuasca to cross your body barriers more easily and therefore work better with her immense wisdom and love.

Foods that contain tyramine.

One of the main ingredients of the Ayahuasca brew is an MAO inhibitor, which means that it temporarily inhibits the activation of monoamine oxidase (MAO), an enzyme that is essential for processing the amino acid tyramine.

if you take an MAO inhibitor, such as Ayahuasca, and eat foods high in tyramine, dangerous levels can be reached quickly. This can cause a severe increase in blood pressure and require emergency treatment.

It is appropriate to avoid products with high levels of tyramine 2 weeks before the Ayahuasca retreat and 1 week after taking it.

Mental and Spiritual Preparation For an Ayahuasca Retreat

Mental and spiritual preparation are also essential for a deep experience of connection with your inner being and nature.

Practice meditation. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the flow of confusing thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing you stress. This process can result in an enhancement of physical and emotional well-being.

Practice yoga, especially the Kundalini type of yoga. Specifically, Kundalini Yoga, according to experts in Hindu culture, is a mixture of three types of yoga:

  1. Bhakti Yoga (practice of devotion and chanting)
  2. Raja Yoga (practice of physical and mental control)
  3. Shakti Yoga (practice of the expression of power and energy)

The purpose of Kundalini Yoga would be to try that those who practice it can reach their maximum creative potential and free themselves from karma, understood as the lasting effects of past actions.

Do physical activity. run, have walks of contemplation in the forest, along a stream, by the sea, under the full moon, contemplate the sunrise, the sunset and the twilight.

Have a mental diet. Empty all the information that you have accumulated for years and go to meet mother Ayahuasca, empty and ready to receive all her love and wisdom. Avoid television, radio, newspapers and social networks as much as possible.

Refrain from having sex or masturbating. Sex, masturbation or even any exchange of bodily fluids, energetic and spiritual, can deplete the energy support available to you and thus inhibit the effectiveness of the sacred plants to teach and guide you.
