This 1-day Wachuma ceremony in Cusco allows you to purge the body, cleanse the stomach, open consciousness, expand roots and connect with the different worlds or dimensional levels. Wachuma or San Pedro, unlike Ayahuasca, has a masculine spirit and therefore helps to open our hearts and shows us the divinity inside and outside of us and makes us experience the connection with the world around us.
Sacred plants such as Wachuma are preserved in the traditions of the indigenous peoples as an ancestral legacy, preserved by oral transmission and jealously guarded by the spiritual authorities of the communities. These sacred plants such as Wachuma and Ayahuasca to mention two of them, are helping the human being to obtain a deep cosmic awakening.

Trip Overview of our Wachuma Ceremony in Cusco 1 day
IMPORTANT NOTE: If after your first Wachuma ceremony in the sacred valley, you wish to extend your Wachuma retreat for 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days. We have a retreat house in the southern Amazon jungle, just 5 hours from Cusco. These multiple Wachuma ceremonies in the jungle are complemented by Ayahuasca ceremonies, consecration ceremonies, interpretation of visions, flowering bath, meditation and yoga. If you want to know more about our healing programs only with Ayahuasca, visit the following link: Ayahuasca retreat in the Cusco Amazon
If you would like to do a 5-day trek through the Inca Trail or the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, we have treks that offer you the possibility of doing yoga, meditation and a suitable diet for an Ayahausca ceremony. More information in the following tab:Ayahuasca preparation treks
Our 1-day Wachuma ceremony begins with the pick-up from your accommodation at 7 am. Then we go for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the town of Ollantaytambo, where we have a place next to a stream, which is suitable for Wachuma or San Pedro ceremonies. Our 1 day Wachuma and Ayahuasca retreat is located in the Sacred Valley, only 2 hours close to Machu Picchu wonder of the world.
Once we arrive in Ollantaytambo, we will hike for 1 hour to a crystal clear stream located in the middle of the forest. The walk is done on a relatively flat terrain surrounded by many natural beauty and medicinal plants, such as: the muña, the chilca, the Wachuma, the nopal, the tarwi, the wild quinoa, among many others. Arriving at the beautiful creek, we will have a guided meditation session for 20 minutes. Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help you manage stress and high blood pressure, sleep better, feel more balanced and connected, and even lower your risk of heart disease. Of course, meditation also helps to have a better connection with the holistic spirits of Ayahuasca and Wachuma.
The coca leaf has been used ancestrally by Andean and Amazonian shamans and healers to diagnose various physical, mental and spiritual conditions. Our teachers carry out the coca reading to all our patients with the aim of knowing more in depth the discomforts that may be unbalanced them. This ceremony is an important complement whether you perform an Ayahuasca or Wachuma ceremony.
Through this ceremony our shamans seek to balance their energy fields, frequencies and vibrations, before having a holistic encounter with Ayahuasca or Wachuma. Having the chakras aligned before a Wachuma ceremony is essential for a deep experience with the healing power of the master plants.
The Wachuma ceremony, unlike the Ayahuasca ritual, is carried out during the day, since this master plant with a masculine spirit has the purpose of opening the heart and putting you in contact and full love with everything that surrounds us. Our shaman, in addition to providing you with the appropriate dose of Wachuma, is also in charge of performing Icaros and playing musical instruments, which have the purpose of leading and guiding you within the holistic and healing journey of the sacred plant. The 1-day Wachuma ritual lasts 5 to 6 hours and all the time you will be supervised by our shaman and our coordinators.
After the Wachuma ceremony, the second most important thing is the interpretation and consecration of the symbolism shown by the master plant. Based on their experience and wisdom, our shamans will interpret what the Wachuma or San Pedro wants to communicate to you. Also keep in mind that the most important interpretation will come from your own mind and heart.
** Doing Wachuma in the sacred valley of the Incas, only 2 hours to Machu Picchu, assures you a powerful energetic place for a very integrating and healing therapy.
