Healing Our Planet
Ikaro Ayahuasca Retreat and Eric love and take great care of Mother Earth or Pachamama as it is called in the Peruvian Andes. Eric and his family have a 500-acre property in the Amazon jungle of Cusco. The property is located within the Manu National Park, considered by biologists as one of the places with the greatest biodiversity in the world. The park is divided into three zones; the cultural zone, the reserved zone and the intangible zone. The 500 acres is located in the cultural zone, an area where the Peruvian state allows the inhabitants to make use of animal and plant resources. Unfortunately, this has led to the depredation of more than 70% of these resources.
Ikaro Ayahuasca Retreat and Eric have the objective of converting the property into a Private Natural Reserve Area and in this way protect it more efficiently from indiscriminate use. We have also been donating a tree to all our clients, the tree is planted and cared for by Eric’s family; Each tree has a special name given by the tourist and we take care of sending our clients an annual photo of its growth. This small detail helps with the intensive reforestation program, that we have in one of the lungs of our mother earth. We have also been working with activists, students and the population in general, in garbage collection and recycling programs. Join us and together we create a better home for our children and grandchildren.
